GoNoodle Sanity Savers Linky!!

Okay, this is super fun!
I'm linking up with the adorable Elizabeth Hall at Kickin' It In Kindergarten!!
(Can I just say I got to meet her in Vegas this Summer- and she was one of the sweetest girls ever!)

Today's linky is all about GoNoodle- and a little bit about me!

If you haven't heard about how much I love GoNoodle, you obviously haven't read my posts here and here
It's a healthy obsession, I promise. :)

Favorite Brain Breaks- Indoor Recess Mash Ups!!
Oh my goodness!! This was exactly what this teacher needed this week!! With NO recess for 4 days in a row, we were going CRAZY! So thankful that GoNoodle created these 15 minute mash ups (a warm up, mix of different brain breaks, and a cool down!)
L.O.V.E!!
The most engaging and energizing brain breaks on the web - all in one site, kid-approved and free! GoNoodle.com @GoNoodleBreaks
I also can't get enough of "Chillax" before we take a spelling test or when I just need those little bodies to calm it down.

Happy Place- Canton, TX.
I wish you could say that you could find me there the first Monday of every month, but with this freezing cold weather...and the lack of money in my wallet right now...I just can't.
But you can bet that I'm taking a personal day to head out to get my antique shopping on in March!!

Guilty Pleasure- Reality T.V
I have no shame in this. Should I? #sorrynotsorry
I can't get enough of my Bachelor nights with my girls, as well as anything on Bravo!
"Prince Farming"- ABC will never stop the cheesiness.

Keep Calm And.... Pray for Snow!!
I have to go with Elizabeth on this one- Texas is definitely feeling left out of the Snow Days. Where's our "wintery mix" we keep hearing about!? :(

Thanks Elizabeth for hosting!! Now head on over to her linky to link up for your chance to win some fun GoNoodle Swag!

The Sunday Scoop!!

This Linky Party from Teaching Trio is too fun!
There is so much this girl HAS to do this week- but let's be honest, I'm not even sure that the 3 things I chose will actually get done!
Does anybody else procrastinate until the very last day to complete student report cards? Thankfully, they are all online for us- but it takes hours! (and of course, this post is more important!)

Laundry- enough said.
{insert Grumpy Cat face}

Friendsgiving is coming up!! Do any of you gather your friends together for a big potluck meal before actual Thanksgiving?? We do! It's one my most favorite memories of the year, and my husband and I love to host! We may be the only couple out of our friends that doesn't currently have a large home to host friends, but our little apartment does the job- it just makes it more cozy, right? :)
We make Friendsgiving as cheesy and elaborate as it can be. It's completed with Thanksgiving decor from Wally World, (tablecloths, turkey centerpieces, and nameplates for everyone) Everybody is required to contribute and bring a delicious dish to add to the mix. As we are eating, we all say what we are thankful for- and I usually end up in tears because I'm thankful for way too much in my life.

I'm LOVING being a TPT Seller!! It has been so fun and everytime I get a notification that somebody has purchased one of MY products- I do a little happy dance.
The problem is, it is NOT easy coming up with these super fantastic products. My QR Code Listening Center is without a doubt my Best Seller, and I'm realizing it's difficult to create more products like that for teachers to use year round. Gotta keep my wheels turnin'...

Y'all! I attended my first Blogger Meet up AS A BLOGGER!!
(The 2014VegasMeetUp was actually my first meetup- but I just stood there in awe of all of the other amazing bloggers I secretly hoped to be one day!)
Yesterday was so much fun to sit and chat with these sweet teachers.
And this time, I was one of the THEM!

Ashley and Amanda from For His Glory did SUCH a fantastic job with all of the details!!
The name tags, the mason jars (complete with a Texas decal sticker, and washi tape) were
AH- DOOR-A- BLE!
....and the door prizes!! Eek!! I was so fortunate to win these BEAUTIFUL handmade earrings from Stephanie (Mrs. D's Corner
Aren't they gorgeous???
It was a fabulous day!! I'm so blessed to have connections with amazing educators around the nation through social media and the blogging network. But I now can say I have connections right outside my door here in Dallas.
I loved meeting all of these sweet teachers- I just wish we had more time to chat!
Till next time!!

Does any other district do TOY nominations super early in the year?? Not gonna lie... I wish we did our nominations at the end of the year, but I'm sure there are reasons why we submit in October.
I love being able to recognize a fellow teacher that goes above and beyond for her (or his) students! There are so many worthy educators in my school and I really need to spend some time thinking about who is the most deserving this year!
Nominations are due Friday... that's more important than report cards, right?! ;)

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend and your start for the week is great.
And...
Can I get an Amen??

Now go link up for the Sunday Scoop with Teaching Trio!

Five for Friday and Peek at my Week!

WOO HOO!! It's FRIDAY!!!
This girl is headed to Colorado for a family getaway weekend!
Before I head out, I wanted to leave you with 5 randoms of my week...
My flippin' AMAZING #slantbox arrived from the oh-so-awesome Brianne (Hooo-Ray for Teaching)!! AH! Look at all of that amazingness. This new teacher friend of mine absolutely SPOILED me with goodies!! I may or may not have let out a ginormous squeal when I opened all of the Scentos swag, sock monkey washi tape, and my assorted post-its. Eek!
Not sure what a Slant Box is? Head on over to Jameson's blog to find out more information! Such a fun way to meet new people, as well as shower fellow teachers with crazy awesome gifts that they totally deserve! :)

It's been a week of awesome teacher mail!!
Our class has been eagerly anticipating the delivery of our SitSpots!! Having these awesome bad boys make finding a Read to Self zone MUCH easier for my little ones.
#velcroneverlookedsogood

Y'all, I feel like I may have found a solution to the #1 annoyance in the classroom!!
(Next to your students saying your name 100-umpteen times a day)
Let me introduce to you the magic of the Sharpie Paint Pen...
Voila!!
No. More. Peeled. Sticky. Laminated. Picked-at. Dirty. Nameplates!!
I have had the names written on the desks for a little over a week now, and I haven't had ONE student be tempted to try and scratch, or erase it!
(knocking on wood as I type this)...
Totally suggest grabbing yourself a pack of these amazing markers. Go ahead and save yourself from the constant pull your hair out moments when you have to scream tell your students to just leave the silly name tag ALONE!

 The best part?
Easy clean up! Just rub a little Expo Marker over the top of it and it wipes off!

Here are a couple activities inside...
Apple Pickin' Tens and Ones
Money Match Up (coin recognition)
This matching game brings so much joy....
See??? :)

Other games in my Math Tubs for the week have been:
100's chart puzzles (laminated 100's chart cardstock cut up into pieces) Great for differentiation!
Addition shape puzzles
For this particular one, the students are making the sum of 7. They complete the puzzles by having the 2 correct addends meet that make the sum of 7. A completed puzzle makes a large rectangle.

I think my most FAVORITE thing I've worked on this week is my NEW and ADORABLE Sub Handbook created by the oh-so-talented, Amy Groesbeck!! Y'all, you HAVE to check out her store!! This Sub Handbook is 100% editable and completely worth the 5 bucks!

Flash forward to senior year in high school, and THIS hot soccer goalie asked me on a date ;)
He's is my biggest supporter, encourager, and my very best friend.

Show Us What You Bought- TPT B2S SALE!

I'm linking up with Blog Hoppin' to show all that I've purchased from TPT lately!
I opened my wallet a tad early last week before I knew about the amazing sale. OOPS

BUT, I'm SUPER pumped about all of my purchases!! Here we go...

Interactive Notebooking is a MUST for me this year.
Can't. Wait.
So, I had to grab all three of these fabulous packs!
Primary Graffiti's Interactive Science, and Deanna Jump's Interactive Reading BUNDLE! ... I think starting with these will be good for this year. If all goes well, I'll tackle Interactive Math notebooks the next year.
(Any suggestions on a great Math version??)

I'm so excited to FINALLY use Cara's Math Missions
I think this will be the perfect addition to my math centers for my fast finishers.

While surfing TPT for some more "gotta have it"s, I found Lindsey's Inflectional Endings pack!
Super fun ways to teach -ing and -ed!

Y'all have already heard me PRAISE Hope King and her fabulous class I attended in Vegas. She has truly changed my mindset as a teacher. I've always thought of myself as a passionate, engaged, and out of the box teacher, but I had no idea what it meant to TRULY engage my students until I met Hope. #rockstarteacher
Well, she now has outdone herself with an AMAZING ebook focusing on nothing but Engagement!
It is incredible. And a definite MUST have. #letsstartanepidemic
And I'll be logging back in tomorrow to snatch up her amazing science resource for Matter!
More amazing lessons. I swear, they're never ending. #shesagenius

I can't decide on my MOST favorite resource I've found- but this one is pretty darn close to #1. Coming from a teacher that never had Guided Reading training when I first started teaching 5 years ago, I can easily say that Rachelle has SAVED me with Guided Reading
No more boring "let's read the book and answer questions" lessons.
THANK YOU!

Michelle Oakes has created the PERFECT Focus Wall pack. I mainly purchased it for the fabulous Math vocabulary cards inside! Love all of the fun colors!

This last purchase I came across on Instagram. (follow me @loopinlittles)
If you're needing an easy way to put together Parent Information for Meet the Teacher, check out Miss. Johnston's EDITABLE Classroom Information Flip Book! LOVED how easy it was to edit and very simple to create!
#bringontheastrobrightspaper

Basically, what I have to show for after today is ...
...5 binders FULL of my oh-so pretty purchased products, now 3 hole punched and filed...
...a MOUND of "need to laminate" papers...
...and an empty bank account...
SO thankful for this #b2s14 sale! Definitely feel ready for the new year!

Thank you to all of the sellers who are creating this FAB products!
One day I hope to find the time, energy, and creativity. One day...
